Deep Sea Glow

 

Deep Sea Glow is a project that was created as a study of boids behavior and emergence. For this project, I experimented with coding the boids in order to imitate the flocking movement of different fish schools. The boids prototype was then combined with the 3D models that I’ve created previously in Maya and assembled into Unity to be rendered.

The final result of this project is a short video showing the emergent behavior of the various fish schools, post-processed to give the glowing look reminiscent of the deep-sea creatures that inspired the project.
